Q : I don't have any design ideas, can I make a custom order or reform?
A
No problem at all.
First of all, I would like to ask you some questions.
For example
What do you want to make, such as rings, pendants, and earrings?
What kind of scene is it used for everyday use, parties ? etc.
How big do you like?
What kind of image do you like for your design, such as simple, flowing and elegant, and solid with a strong presence?
What kind of stone do you like?
We will answer some of the questions and work on them little by little. Customers who did not have an image at all when they first consulted will gradually develop an image as they answer.
At this stage, we may exchange many times, but you can request it free of charge.
Q:How much does it cost?
A
Custom-made and remodelling differ depending on the design and material, so we will quote once the design and material are decided.
We can also make it from your budget, so please ask.
Q: Which material do you use?
A
The metals I handle are platinum, 18K yellow gold, 18K white gold, 18K rose gold, 9K yellow gold, 9K white gold, 9K rose gold and silver. If you would like other metals, please ask.
Q: What are 18K and 9K?
A
Gold = element symbol Au, Pure gold is called 24K.
Pure gold is very soft, and you can easily bend it with your finger if it is a normal ring. Making ordinary jewelry from pure gold is too soft and easily loses its shape. Therefore, by mixing other metals, you can make a strong alloy and make delicate jewelry.
The metal mixed with gold is called warigane.
An alloy containing 25% warigane is called 18K gold. The proportion of gold is 75%. Depending on what you use for this warigane, you can make various colors of gold such as yellow gold, white gold, rose gold, and green gold. The colors are different, but they are all 18K gold.
9 gold is 37.5% gold and warigane is 62.5%
Q: What is solder?
A
Solder is required to join materials in jewelry making.
The melting point of 18K gold is about 1063 degrees, and if you use a metal with a low melting point for Warigane, you can make 18K gold with a melting point of 1063 degrees or less. This is solder.
Several types of solder can be made by making solder with slightly different melting points.
For example, the types of gold are 22 gold, 20 gold, 18 gold, 14 gold, 10 gold, 9 gold, yellow gold, white gold, rose gold, etc., and Hard, Medium, Easy, etc. (different melting temperatures). solder) There are various types of platinum, silver solder, etc.
All solders have a lower melting point than the main metal of the jewelry body, and if the body and solder are heated at the same time, the solder will melt before the body, so the solder will flow into the joint part of the body and the solder will be completed.
Depending on the type of solder, how to heat it will change, and depending on the material of the main body and how to heat it, some jewelry will make the craftsman cry because the solder does not easily flow into the joint.
Q: The meaning of stamp such as 18ct, 9K, etc.
A
18ct, K18, 18K, 750 stamps are typically used for 18K gold with a gold content of 75%.
It is engraved as an indication of the purity of gold, regardless of color, such as yellow gold or white gold. There are various other types of engraving, such as 18K white gold engraved with WG18K.
Jewelery Ta uses 18ct and 750.
Platinum includes pure platinum as 1000, PT, PT1000, PT950, PT900, etc.
Silver includes SV, SIL, SV925, 925, sterling, SS, etc.
Q: Is it possible to remake even if it is not a precious stone?
A
I think that the jewellery you want to reform will always have some kind of memory.
What I am thinking about when reforming is that I want to pass on those memories to new jewelry as much as possible.
Whether the stone is genuine or fake, I think that there is no change in the desire to cherish it, so if you wish, and if possible, we will reform any stone jewellery.
Q:How long is the production period?
A
There is a range depending on the design, but custom-made and reforms are usually about 1 day to 3 weeks.
It takes about 3-4 weeks to produce with wax carving, but if you are in a hurry, please let us know.
Q: What is Wax Carving?
A
One of the ways to make jewelry is to carving wax and cast it, which is called lost wax carving.
Wax is a candle-like material that melts easily at low temperatures.
This lost wax carving technology is indispensable for expressing wide and thick designs, three-dimensional designs, detailed designs and designs that cannot be expressed by metal smith work.
The production method is completed through casting as shown below.
☑ First, carving wax to make a prototype.
☑ Pour plaster around the wax pattern and harden it.
☑ Evaporate this plaster mold wax with heat of several hundred degrees. Then, a hole of the same shape as the prototype remains in the plaster.
☑ Pour any metal (gold, platinum, silver etc.) into it. This work is called casting.
☑ Break the plaster mold and take out the finished metal. The prototype of wax evaporates and disappears, so it is called lost wax.
☑ Finish by polishing the surface of the cast metal.
